Nambour RSL Club Enters Clubs Queensland Hall of Fame
The club is celebrating after being inducted into the Clubs Queensland Hall of Fame at the Keno & Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence held on the Gold Coast last month.
The Keno & Clubs Queensland Awards extend to the state’s best venues to recognise outstanding achievements of Queensland community clubs within a $1.9 billion industry.
Our club shone through at this year’s awards accepting a well-deserved place in the Clubs Queensland ‘Hall of Fame’, after taking out the prestigious title of Queensland’s Best Club Café/Coffee Shop three consecutive years in a row.
Consistently recognised at the awards, the club also took out the Queensland Government award for Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Nambour RSL Club were applauded on their myriad of best practice responsible service initiatives, such as their designated skipper program which offers free soft drink to drivers and RSA presentations to local schools. The club also hosts annually the Queensland Police Drinkrite program which provides community members with important information about standard drinks and reducing alcohol related harm.
General Manager Suzanne Long said she was very proud of the club’s achievements and attributed much of the success to the club’s dedicated staff and progressive Board of Directors.
“We are all inspired by winning these awards year after year and it’s a true credit to the commitment and professionalism of our team,” Ms Long said.
“It’s a great thrill to share the club’s success with our members and the wider community and celebrate these accomplishments that places the club at the forefront of the industry.”
“Our club is a vital community cornerstone venue that is focused on providing the best services and facilities to our thriving region,” she said.
The team continues to strive to achieve our stated vision that “The success we create today will become a legacy for our community to embrace into the future”.
